Maybe this has been covered already, but i can't find anything for whatever reason, is it possible to do a 4- lo kit on a 3 rd gen with a 5600 trans. Find myself needing something lower then 1st gear alot lately, especially backing up the GN. TIA!

Dynatrac is about the only answer (locking hubs)...

I think there is a company that makes a replacement mode selector for the transfer case.

I know I have one on my Jeep so I can use 2wd Low range. It's made by Tera Low.

I'm not sure if they make one for the larger t-cases though.

If I find anything out, I'll post it.

how does 3rd gen engage front hubs?

On 2nd gen. the engagement of the front hubs was by vacume, and it was pretty easy to block the hub engagement; how is it done on the 3rd gen?. Is there a way to prevent that engagement?

3rd gen

my 2007 doesn't have any hubs, or central disconnect. In fact, the 4wd system isn't any more sophisticated as my 1962 M-37. I'll probably doing the Dynatrac conversion this spring.

Look at EMS offroad. I think the site is EMSoffroad.com. Much cheaper than a dynatrac system. The 3rd gen setup should be out in mid January. Great guys to deal with I just got my kit for my 97.
