Bob4x4, I'm not saying they are not changing them out fast, the volume is overwhelming.
To activate them is something as slight as bumping something at 5 mph to activate the bags.
To advocate disconnecting them is advocating people to break a federal law.
I asked the dealership to deactivate or removed until the new one came in and they said they will not go there, nor will tell anyone how to do it, or even suggest it.

Now, are you positive yours wasn't one that would break apart if activated ?

I put off doing mine for quite a while.I was never worried about it,knowing the odds-many things I do and or have done are/were far more risky.I did replace mine once there were plenty in the system to take care of all my customers..

Like Bob said, the chances are very small that the bag will blow apart in the event of an accident. But if you are worried about it there is nothing stopping you from disconnecting it. However if you do, the chance of injury from an accident are most likely far greater than just leaving it alone.
And if I understand your other concern that the bag will blow if there is any impact, that is not true. The systems are very robust and there are all kinds of safeguards to keep them from going off unexpectedly.

Learned that FCA contracted with TRW (now ZF) in May or June, 2015 to do replacement bags if FCA would give them a long-term contract. Apparently they did.
Tried several sources locally for the recall replacement. No one has them and have no idea when they'll have them. Same for FCA recall center Help Desk.
Anyone know of a dealer near Wisconsin that has the replacement bags in inventory? I'll have them sent here or just drive there and get it done.
Thanks.

@Big
I like the latest ECM Update that have done to my Truck, I runs now far smoother, a lot of noise has gone, the ticker sound close disappeared.
And there are 2 new fault codes that tell you if an injectors go bad before it burns a hole into a piston or flood the engine with diesel.

Are you saying, you had the dealer FLASH your ECM and "runs now far smoother, a lot of noise has gone, the ticker sound close disappeared, 2 new fault codes tell you injectors go bad before it burns a hole into a piston or flood the engine with diesel."?

Please explain "the ticker sound close and, a lot of noise has gone" Is there something much different between the 4.5 and the 2005 ?
I've read and heard much info NOT to have the flash.
Do tell.
Thanks!

I'm in Michigan and though I have not received a recall notice in the mail when the vin is put in the FCA recall lookup my truck comes up for the drivers airbag.

enter vin here http://recalls.mopar.com/

Thanks for the link. Typed in my vin and the R25 airbag recall showed incomplete on my truck, but parts are available. Just got off the phone with the local stealership and made an appointment for next week.
