3rd gen death wobble

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Should I keep the 2006 3500 or find a 2014 or 15??

Do 3rd gen trucks have the "death wobble" as bad as 2nd gen? looking to upgrade and want to stay with non emisions 5.9 but can't stand the death wobble any more. Happened to wife the other day and she said she will no longer drive or ride in my truck.

Usually not if everything is in good shape, you'll find few threads about this and mostly the results are that something was worn out.

3rd gens are not as prone to it as 2nd. I had to deal with it on a 2nd gen myself. The trackbars on the 2nd gens are often the culprits. You may not notice at first, and then the extra play affects
another component. Took my 98 in for an alignment after replacing tires- was told that alignment was not possible because of excessive play in front end. Turned out my trackbar was worn and
had to install Luke's Links. Got my alignment done and then had to do wheel bearings 6 months later. My 3rd gen is waaay tighter in the front end- and has more miles on it than my 98 did when
it had those issues.

As an answer to this. I really use this truck heavy on back roads, lots of potholes any anything I can throw on it.
Ant it runs straight as a Car, a real upgrade to my 98 Granny.
Last lost money have been the MOG Balljoints, the were totally crap from new, now with the CARLIs I'm all happy.

Don't use MOG on a Diesel Ram, you'll regret it.
