Looks like it's comin' together. I should have power washed mine when I did the head/cam. Everyday I was greasy up to my shoulders. If I had power washed it, I might have only been greasy up to my elbows, LOL

Yah that stuff is way durable as you found out! I noticed the grinder marks in one of your other pics and thought " Man I hope he doesnt hate me" cause that had to take some time! Sand blaster dont phase it:-laf

Hhaha yeah it was a PITA! but a torch works well on it:D just smells and makes a mess but I got it off eventually
 
Tonight I got all that I could without the manifold and intake gaskets. I also attached a photo of the rest of the polished parts... . even did the radiator cap:eek::D



And the new headlights Oo.

They are cheap... . the alignment tabs 2 of em broke on the drivers side. It wont effect function just kinda turned me off to them... Other than that I like them. The look is different and it gives it a clean look I think. I paid 125 for them IIRC from ebay. I only paid "$8X" for them but they shaft ya with the $40 shipping:eek:
 
I Am Looking For A Good 2ed Gen Head. I Got A 1999 2500 And I Want To Put Another Head With Some Porting And Polishing Done To It To Help The Ferformance A Little Pm Me If You Got One For Sale

Can you make a vid of it starting?



In your opinion, what's the combination of parts tat gives your truck the lope? (or rod knock to the untrained ear :) I like that sound. How does the truck come back to idle now? (especially when driving)
