Any members have any experience or know of a any good places that can repair instrument clusters? My tach and speedo are sticky, its not the normal tach problem where it goes all over and pegs it self, if I tap my dash it reads right but the needles seem like there getting hung up. Ive tried loosening screws and all that stuff that I have seen fix tachs in the past but no luck. I have seen used clusters on Ebay but feel its only a matter of time until they will have issues aswell since the 06 clusters seem to be very trouble prone. New ones arent that expensive for just the cluster but working with a dealership to program mileage makes it expensive quick. I googled cluster repair and found a few companies http://www.abitronics.com/cluster.htm , http://www.bba-reman.com/US/index.aspx , and http://www.sotelectronics.com/index.php3 . Any help or insight would be great, thanks!

Hey Bob do you know if my truck will start and move without the cluster installed? If not would a cluster out if a gas engine allow it to?
Thanks

Well hopefully this will help out someone in the future. I realized I left out the fact that my problem started after I replaced the lens on my cluster. After pulling my cluster probably 20 times, tried re soldering, shimming, checking wire connections and going in circles I finally figured it out. I left the screws that hold the lens loose because the lens in not actually flat and if you tighten all the screws it can bend the board causing other issues like the common tach issues, and after looking how everything fit up its actually scary how warped the new lens was. Anyways the lens assembly is what also holds the white face of the gauges down so by leaving the screws a little loose it allowed the gauge face to hit the needles causing them to get hung up. I moved the needles out a little and now it works great.

That's crazy if that really is the remedy considering the dealer suggest replacing entire cluster. I'll have to see if this possibly will fix mine.
