Weird, I was getting 14-16 new, less than 12K mi. Then got an Edge/Juice K&N FIPK And started getting 17-18. I have 30K mi, my Edge/ Juice is off the truck right now getting swapped for another, and the truck has never ran better. I've been getting a constant 18-19. 5 I might leave the thing off for awhile, perhaps running around on 2x5 mostly helped seat and break the truck in good all those miles with the unit in???
This was driving through town earlier today, I know it's just an idea, real mi is around 18. 9-19. 2 if it reads this.
My 05 which is totally stock get 16-17 in town driving. 18-20 all interstate but driving 65 any faster than that it drops to about 17. Towing it drops to 12-14. It has 20K on the odometer.
'04... had an EZ for 20K miles and took it off (different story) and now just have AFE stage 1 w/TQ tube and 4" shorty exhaust. Truck is stock other than this.
Saw 16-17 from new in town. At about 22K I began towing up to 10K at a time and was seeing very good mielage with it... never less than 12MPG with 10K. The last 3 tanks of total city driving (empty) I have seen 18. 2, 17. 9, and 18. 4 respectively. This is at 26,500 miles. Seems to be getting slightly better with more mileage and more work.
With just over 10K on the clock I'm averaging just under 14MPG. This is hand calculated, not the overhead. Most of my driving is in town with road trips and towing 5-6 times a year. This is close to what I got on my 2001 2500 with an NV4500 5 speed and 4:10 gears... .
20 City... ... ... 2wd, srw and SO version probably account for the higher than most numbers. 23+ Hand calculated on two trips of approx. 3500 miles each with a light load. 47000K.
22+ mpg AVERAGE on a 110 mile a day commute. 12. 5 mpg AVERAGE when towing my 11200 lb 5er. My 305/555 HO has 54000+ miles on the odo. Don't have a city for mpg info. ..... JIM
