There is a rather large truck dealer about 1 1/2 hours from me by the name of Lenz truck and they adverise rust free trucks. I figure i would take a ride and see if they look as good in person as they do on their video walk arounds.
Thanks again guy's for the input.
Tim

Thanks Ozy looked up both products one looks like a thinner or more penetrating type were the other one looks more like a coating that is more permanent. Either way I do like the advertisement of the product THOSE CANT BE BEAT!!!! BIG or SMALL I LOVE THEM ALL :D

Hi BigN

Watch out for the many different kind of FluidFilm, I use the "LiquidA" Type inside the panels AND as a Primer outside of the frame and at the body parts, then I use Permafilm "Black" on the Frame and the Axles and "Transparent" for the underside of the cabin. Transparent is good to see what's going on under it over the years, so no new rust can appear that you can't see immediately.

Thanks Ozy I was looking at the website and seen the many different kinds of products, Have to contact the company and see what kind of literature that the can send me as well as the web. I kind of like the idea of the transparent to see whats happening so many times Nasty things can be going on under a sealer.

I see lots of 3rd gens here with rust issues. Since the late '90's, all of my new vehicles have left the dealer and gone directly to Ziebart for the rust protection/undercoating. I also take them back once a year for the yearly clean/inspection/respray they offer which costs $39 annually per vehicle. To date, there have been no rust issues with any of them, including our '04. 5 which is a plow truck with a spreader (except for the back bumper which Ziebart doesn't treat). I think the annual update is the key for the Ziebart service to work.

Up here in the great white north rust belt, there are places like Krown that spray an oily waxy mix everywhere. A buddy did mine with a similar mix and its still leaking out of the drain holes 2 years later. The stuff he used comes as either a thicker gooier mix or a relatively thin mix. He mixed them 75% thick to 25% thin and applied with a pressure pot sprayer with an extended hose on the nozzle. BTW, no rust visible on my truck or my 06 car that I just replaced.
