Hello,
I have a 1991 W250 regular cab pickup, and I also have a 40/20/40 seat from a 2002 3500 quad cab. I'd like to adapt the seat to the 91 pickup, and wondered if anyone has made the conversion. If so, suggestions on what is needed would be very helpful. I could certainly figure it out on my own, but it's always nice to have some idea of what to do before getting out the tools. OK, so I'm lazy, and want to make it as easy as possible!
I know that it is possible that the seats may not move forward much to use the area behind them as storage, but that should not be much of a problem. Another consideration will be wiring the electric actuators into the vehicle power distribution, which I can probably figure out through trial and error. Advice on that would be helpful, though, since again, I am lazy.
It seems that a lot of people like the 2nd gen seats a lot better, from what I have read, but the price was right on these, I like the adjustable headrests on the 2002, and anything is better than what is currently in there.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!
Cheers,
Mark
