2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 3rd Gen seats in 2nd Gen

Does anyone know if the 3rd generation 40/20/40 seats will fit in a 2nd generation truck? Do they match up identical or is there some modification to be done? My 1997 is nearing 380,000 miles and the driver's side of the seat has seen it's better days. I saw a 3rd gen seat on eBay but did not want to bid on it until I was sure it would fit. Thanks

Hey- The trucks are practically the same width, It should work with some mods. You might have to live without power. I'd also like to see if anyone has ever done this since those newer seats are nice

Ever considered an air ride seat? That is what I plan to do. Will need a seat with a low-pro suspension.

I am looking for a source to purchase two new bottom seat cushions for my 98. 5. . Just the rubber part. I did the boosting up with a carpet under etc. but it needs more now.

Are they the same for the 2nd gen. series???

My drivers side is toast and my wife would like a new one also.

DC only sells the seat bottoms as a whole cushion, leather/vinyl/cloth with new springs... they run about 600 and are hard to some by... good luck. your best bet is prob getting the whole truck redone with nice high grade leather or cloth... the factory stuff is junk... im sure you could get the truck seats done for about 1k...
