2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 3rd Gen seats in 97

Does anyone know if this is possible to work?



I found a nice set of black leather 3rd gen seats for 500 shipped



my seats have some cig holes from previous owner and they are worn.



I dont care that they arent powered, I just like the look of the black leather.

yal anything is possible. you have seatbelts in the seats on yours so you would have to fab up something else and a seatbelt is something i just wouldn't want to do. not to mention that the newer trucks may have a little wider set of seats. i don't know for sure but my 06 seems wider than the 98. i too would love a set of comfy seats in my 98 but i think it will be easier and safer to just get my 98 seats redone. have you looked into catskin they make a nice replacement leather covers and you can have the old foam rebuilt at same time. to have it all installed i am looking at 1200 to 1300 for a set of custom black leather with light grey stiching done, and my foam rebuilt to be more comfy and less lean to the outside. hope this helps

a 97 shouldn't have belts in the seats... only the quad cab trucks have belts in the seats
