3rd Gen smoke?

Do the ISBe's smoke more or less than an equally BOMBed ISB?



I'm not talking about cold engine type of smoke... .



I would expect them to smoke less... but haven't heard of anything or seen any pics of a smoking 3rd Gen.

I would have to say yes and EGT is way lower than my 98. 5

Makes sense... . better injection control, higher injection pressures, multiple injection events... ... all those things should lead to less smoke and more efficiency.



I'm more interested in the BOMBed ISBe's... . and how much they smoke... .

I am looking for a "tuning box" to make a little smoke and some more power. I don't necessarily want the kind of smoke my ole '96 pours out, but I want some "on demand" smoke like the '98. 5-'02 guys can have. An adjustable tuning box that is variable from stock to overkill is what I need! Does anyone make such a device?

well i remmeber seeing a post where a 2nd gen with stacks was doing a awesome burnout and the was black smoke pouring out and i said i wish my truck could do that and the guy said he could make mine do that. . I am sure he owned a performance shop i am not sure who it was though. I think it was the man who owns lareado performance (spelling. . sorry). .

I've only made mine smoke once. . When I first got my EZ, I took it out to the edge of town and floored it. Nice cloud of smoke. It's never happened again, and I wrote it off to blowing crud out of the exhaust.



I wouldn't be surprised if the TST smokes a bit. .

I get a little smoke with my EZ box on level 6... All other levels. . . nothing... When it comes to on demand smoke... . I really miss my 97. :{ Hopefully this new Edge box will do the trick. Bombvoys just aren't the same without smoke.

Never posted a pic so I'm not sure if it will work. I can't remember where I got this pic but it is pretty cool. I hope it's ok to put on here... I wish that I could shhhhmoke on demand like this

Before I got my 03 I watched a 03 on a dyno with 75hp injectors and edge box and the smoke was virtually nothing just a little puff when first hit go pedal

The only way I can get mine to smoke ok is to step on it and then let it coast for a while. . then I'll floor it again and i'll see a little cloud behind the truck. It's good for when people tailgate too

yeah i did that once... . Not enough smoke to even come close to blinding the guy tho. . HE did stay away after that one though... so i guess it worked. .

We were at a dyno day and I came in number 2. I had to show the top guy up so I did one burnout. Ten minutes later I had 10 guys cheering me on and 5 in the truck with me... . Had to do another one.

We'll get ya into some sweet EDM's by end of Feb, an EZ, some NOS, and a Turbo I'l even buy back the EZ when the TST comes out, or just stack the EZ on the Edge box that's coming out.
