Can't get my rotors off

Ok, so I had the same problem many of you had with the lamp out chime going off every 3 seconds when I go over bumps on the highway. I finally had to pull over and find an auto parts store and get some replacements. I looked in the manual and found the 2 different numbers and replaced the bulbs. The question is, the bulb numbers that are stamped on the tail lights in plastic read 3057 for all three and the manual says the 3057 bulb only goes in the middle spot. Which is right or does it matter. Can the lamp out chime be disabled by the dealer. Any help would be great. Thanks

Mark :(

I replaced all of my factory tail light bulbs last year. The factory bulbs seem to be problem prone, and I haven't had any problems since I put in the replacements. I did use 3057 for all three per the bulb catalog, but I think only one filament actually lights up on the backup light. I have no idea about disabling the chime.

There was a TSB or problem with the actual strip the bulbs plug into. There were many trucks with the problem... . I believe all 03's. I was one when I had the 03. The dealer replaced the $20. 00 strips on both sides and I never had a problem with them afterwards.

Thanks for the info. I purchased both 20 dollar light strips and installed them with di-electric grease and new bulbs. Hopefully this will last a while longer. I have 129,000 on my 03 right now. :)

I used a pencil eraser, trimmid into a "V" (chisel shape) & cleaned up the contact points on the bulbs & the strips. Di-electric greased those points & re-installed the stock bulbs.

I've had to do this a couple of times but, this last time, it's worked well & for quite awhile.

Don't remember which brand di-electric grease, I used. Any brand will work & can be found in an auto parts store or hardware store.
