Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 3rd Gen Turbo on a 2nd Gen?

Anyone know if the Turbo from a 3rd Gen will fit a 2nd Gen?

Stock turbo, no... the outlet piping is different... the downpipe would have to be different, the clocking is different, etc.

Does'nt the 3rd gens have a 4" v-band outlet?

A friend of mine has a 97 with HX35W and is developing some free play in the shaft, I was thinking about an upgrade for my 03 and wondered if he could use mine. I thought his truck was newer at only 66K but now see that I may have posted in the wrong forum as its a 97.



Whats a good source for a stock HX35W?- he is not a bomber.
