I'm looking at getting a pair of wheel to wheel nerf bars for my '06 quad cab LB in black powder coat. Im looking for any recommendations towards the different manufacturers, what brands have TDR members installed, are you happy with the quality and did they fit as advertised? I see Willmore advertises on their web site that they have these but their application list is a little hard to figure out as to black vs chrome PN and not much in the way of pictures or info. Also would love to see some pictures of trucks with wheel to wheel step or nerf bars installed, went through almost 30 pages of readers rigs pictures and none to be found.

If you do a search for "Tall, thin tires, please?", on the third page you can see pictures of my 4" w/w Boss Bars by Putco. Very nice quality, mine are polished SS,they do have Black chrome, but not sure about powder coating.

I have the N-Fab wheel to wheel six steps on mine Hold up pretty well and I installed them myself. You will need a right angle drill to get thru the pinch rail. There is a pic in my readers rig gallery.

I have Go Rhino wheel to wheel bars on my 04. This is my second set, different truck. Mine are chrome and after five years no rust and look vey nice. They do come in black also.

i am also looking for wheel to wheel bars. westin doesn't make them anymore. i like the n fabs, but don't want to drill into truck. .

Frontier Gear

See my picture gallery. I too spent a lot of time finding just the right step bars. I found Frontier Gear steps and like them very much. They mount to the body mounts, are very sturdy, and the fit / finish is excellent.

I second the vote for WAAG. I have a dually with the WAAG full length flare out bars, love them for giving me access to the bed when hooking up the 5th wheel. My 4x4 is quite high off the ground and I am not that tall. This is my second set (first set on on '01 and now a set 0n '04). I put the first set on myself, it wasn't that difficult, no drilling-very well engineered. Good and study too. I do have to say that being in VT for the last 2 winters has raised hell with them from the snow and salt, but they have been on over 5 years. So I have been very pleased with them.

Here are some pictures of my WAAG kick outs. These are from my previous '01 truck, I don't have good pictures of them on my '04, but basically the same.

Yes they do. Hello all. I am looking for full lgth running boards for my 2500 02 8' bed. have not seen any. I am suprised at how difficult they are to find. Surely someone make them.

I have the ICI ss wheel to wheel bars on my truck sense almost new, and love them they are a one piece bracket that bolts to the cab where the cab and body meet, and then bolt to bars. they dont squeak and have never loosened up. very happy with them.

installed the bars over weekend. right front body bolt snapped off when tried to remove it. turns out the bolt was cross threaded into body from factory. had to heat it to get broken off stud out, then drill out damaged body threads... then had to nut and bolt new bolt in with step bar bracket. what a nightmare. THANKS DODGE for ANOTHER SCREW up! left side install, 30 minutes, right side install over 4 hours!! makes me wish i never even bothered! but the ICI stainless wheel to wheel bars are really nice! and the kit came with good hardware. I will get some pics up soon.
