Can someone tell me if the 3rd gen wheels will fit correctly on my '99. I'm looking to go slightly wider to accomodate 285's. I had the stock 6. 5 chrome steel now, looking to go to 7. 5 or 8. 0.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they will but don't quote me on it. I've got a set of chrome steelies w/spare in the shed off my '04 if you're looking for a reasonably priced set. They currently have the stock 265 Michelins mounted on them and would like to get rid of all of them.

I also believe they fit.

However, if you are open to it, you can get a great set of forged alcoa wheels in 16 inch, a little wider for around 725 shipped to your door. They are much better quality than stock wheels

wolfman, I sent you a private message about your wheels. If clay isn't interested, I might be and I don't live that far from you. How much do you want for them?

rims will fit

i put a set of 17 nto's(off of 04 4x4 2500) with 265/70/17 on my 1997 4x4 2500, only problem i ran into was the new hubcaps would not work. i put the old hubcaps on and they work fine. just test fit on the truck before you bolt them on and try and run them. i think they changed axles in the rear, thats why the caps wont fit. have fun, the new rims look so much better. :-laf
