2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 3rd gen wheels on a 2001

Will the 3rd gen wheels work on a 2nd gen truck? I would like to get some 17 inch wheels for my truck and i like the looks of some of the third gen wheel.

Yes, I've seen someone on here w/ a pic of a red 2nd gen 4x4 with 3rd gen wheels... looks pretty cool.

Yes, you can see my readers rig for pics, youll have to grind out the new hubcaps to fit. backspacing is a little different but all in all they will work great.

You only have to grind the hubcaps on the chrome wheels. The aluminum wheel center caps fit without any problems.

I also have a set that I run in the winter, the new 17s off an 04 and they seem to work great I havent had, any problems with the hubcaps, they are the chrome wheels, The stock 16s I run in the summer they are the aluminum/polished wheels.
