3rd Gen Win and Sixth (now with Video!)
Win Friday night (kept RPMs up); and 6th Saturday night (dropped RPMs off the line didn't get them back).
Stong pulls though.
One HUGE problem. It appears mine (and many other) early '03 third gens are flat-lining power at 2300/2400 RPM. I build great numbers; consistent with my truck's build; until 2350 RPM. Then it FLAT LINES to redline. It isn't the dyno -- you can watch it happen. You can hear the power build; steady roll of smoke; then insta-clean burn the fuel's being limited. My HP/Torque is flat at whatever I can get to by 2350 RPM.
NOT a fuel problem. Does it with NO comp boxes. We're talking same dyno curve at 300hp as 500+hp. If it was a fuel issue the dyno curve wouldn't match at 300 vs 500. I'm assuming 500+hp burns more fuel... so shouldn't be the same curve.
I suspected my APPS and swapped it before Friday's pull and it seemed to help; but I don't think it's quite fixing the issue. I have plenty of fuel to burn but it isn't pushing it (computer isn't sending it) all the way up the RPM curve.
What in heck signal flat lines the power curve at 2350/2400?
So not only am I working with low RPM (3rd Gen) ... it's WAY low ... it's pretty much impossible to keep it lit for a full run.
This '03 truck is driving me insane.
Here's the videos:
3rd Gen Owensville Win on Friday That was me goosing the throttle to get the clutch to grab.
