Here is a link to a bunch of 3rd generation Dodge trucks.

They are all half tons.

I think you could get a really close idea to what an HD would look like, would be to just imagine the wheels with 8-Lugs. :)

???????

Something just does not look right. I can't put my finger on it. I am glad I got my 2001. I have been looking at Dodges since 94, and the 2001 was finally the right package: 6 speed, H. O. , and 3. 54 rear end. Glad I didn't wait any longer.

Whats missing is the big wheel wells, and it sitting higher up. It will be interesting to see the HD's.

Look at the fifth photo down. It is a red truck at an angle. Is it the angle or does it look like a pig or hogs nose? Or am I reading to much in it?

Don't want to flame Dodge. But?

Did I see what I thought I saw? There was a picture I'm sure showing the hood and front fenders as one unit hinged at the front, a tip forward hood like a big rig?

I looked again, I think it's just for show, all the other pics. show a regular hood line. Sorry, I got excited and jumped the gun.

Leg room

Not that it matters much to me, my dog is pretty happy with the leg room in our QC, and I can't be happier overall!

But leg room in the pictured 02/03 Dodge crew cabs appears to be "coach class". Truck ads and magazines are always quick to jump on stuff like that, hope they are roomier than they appear!

Thats one thing I have to give to the current extended cab Chebies, the raised seating in the rear works pretty good!

There I said somthin positive about the other brand!

My Opinion

The "sport" (body colored grill) looks like "butt", especially in white (which I usually like). The regular (all chrome grill) look pretty good. However, I think the SLT+ (body colored outline with chrome cross-hairs) looks REALLY good!

I personally can't wait to get a new one. I now know it will be an SLT+. Sounds like the 2500/3500 crew cabs will be bigger still.

No you are not reading too much in it.

Look at the fifth photo down. It is a red truck at an angle. Is it the angle or does it look like a pig or hogs nose? Or am I reading to much in it?

I thought the same thing when I first saw the new design. My wife hates the new look. I think I could go with the Black though. Really need to see them in person.

Gen threes

I have seen the third generation Rams, and you guys whom have not are gonna eat crow big time!!!!! They are absolutely kick butt beautifull, inside and out. The interior of the four door is like a high line luxury car. The improvements to drive train, body and suspension are way over the heads of G. M and Ford. The appearance of the truck in the flesh is very very different from the photos.

Anybody want a very low mileage '99 quad cab when my '03 comes in?
