Wow, that's pretty cool. Did you drill right through the edge of the factory tow hooks to mount that pin?

And where'd you get those pins, anyway? I could use some like that.

Ryan,

They are 1/2" hitch pins, if you need some PM me. They only run about $4 a piece.

The rack itself is 5/8" steel plate with 2"x2" 1/4" wall tubing welded and gussetted.

The weights are 100lb White.

Yeah, drilled right through the center.

How'd you cut that 5/8" steel plate? Just curious.

Hacksaw... :-laf

Really though...

I went down to the local metal yard and it was a piece that was just laying in their post cut/scraps pile.

The plate by itself is 59lbs.

Looking good Justin!

At least you still have some places to pull. Mine are getting taken over by so many safety rules this year its not looking like I'm gonna be able to pull anywhere. :{

Looks good but what is it used for? As heavy as the front of my truck already is, the only place I want more weight is out back.

-Ryan

When I first read that I thought you were kidding, then I realized you weren't. :-laf

Its for Sled Pulling! The weight of the huge sled on the back of the truck picks the front up off the ground therefore losing traction at the front wheels. ;)
