OD cluch pack is not as strong as the other packs but everyone i know and just about everyone on this board that i have heard from tow in OD. The best thing to do in my opinion would be to leave it in 3rd until you reach your desired speed let up on throttle and then push the button to put in OD push on peddle just enough to get your truck to lock up in OD and your set to go, one other thing before you get to a big hill where you would have to shift down do it before you get there, just make sure your not going too fast for down shifting. take your truck out on the road empty leave it in 3rd to see where you can and can not shift according to your RPMs. example my truck at 70 MPH with 3:54 gears can down shift safely from OD lockup to 3rd lockup but not going any faster.
