4.10's & DRW - What's your MPG???

I know this is about the worst combo for fuel efficiency, but I've got one on order (D1 today ), and I would like to know what kind of MPG you guys with 4. 10 and DRW are getting.



Anything diesel will be an improvement over my '97 2500 5. 9L gasser.

19 solo and 11. 0 pulling the big rig. But then I don't put my foot in it a lot either.

Well it depends on fast I drive solo. 17 or so running 70/72 mph or 18 plus running 60/65. Right now I have NOT reset my mpg gauge in THREE tanks and mainly short trips and it reads 15. 2. With 10k trailer and running 70 its 11 or so. If I baby it unloaded I can hit 19/20 mpg. Its got 11k on it now and mileage has slowly been improving plus I have a banks full exhaust(mileage had a jump when that was installed)and a Afe pro guard 7 air intake. Its also a 4x4.

I average 17-19 MPG running solo and 11-14 MPG hauling a big Lance slide-in camper... depends a lot on how fast I drive and how much the wind is blowing.



I record all my fuel purchases on MS Excel which I have set up to compute the MPG on each fill up and also keep a running average on the overall MPG along with a running average of the cost per gallon of fuel.

About the same as everyone else, got 32,000 on it now.



Empty long runs 70-75 is around 17-18



Normal back and forth to work and around town is 14



Pulling it all depends on what I pull, down to 7-8 with my 40' gooseneck and 2 trucks on it. Think I got 11 with same trailer and 2 cars on it running about 70

Highway at 70+ empty I get 15-16mpg



Towing at 70+ with a 15,000lbs+ trailer 9-11 mpg

That's just about what I figured. Thanks a lot for all your input.



I'm planning to add the AFE pro guard 7 and TAG right away, then do something with the exhaust as soon as I figure out what will be best/work with the cat. From there the list will go on.
