4.5 or 05 3500

I am a new member to TDR, not to the diesel family. I would like to say hi to everyone and say that this is the most informative website I have ever been on I have ordered some back issues already and cant wait to purchase my new Dodge, this is where the question comes in. I am going to buy a 3500 Laramie DRW 4x4 QC, do I buy a 4. 5 or 05? Are there going to be any differences, is one better than the other? Please help, this keeps me up at night.

You know as much as we do. I'm waiting, just because to me it's worth the wait to see IF anything cool is changed for '05. If not, no harm done, the truck is just that much newer. So far the only "confirmed" thing that I've heard about for '05 is the sunroof... the rest are rumors.

I heard rumors of a bigger cab, more room for the four door. When do they come out the 05, what month, what is the earliest you can order an 05?

Doubt it gets a bigger cab. Sorry. My 04. 5 is due to arrive shortly. Kind of wished I would have waited for the 05.

I had talked to RBP( Rollin big power ) about there stage 3 kit, has anyone heard of or used this product on the new 600.

You can order the '05 now if you want. There is no pricing available right now. Probably first part of July before it gets published. I ordered my '05 last week on my birthday! I even ordered it with the sunroof.



I'm expecting the '05's to start getting delivered sometime in December. Purely speculation on my part though.

when i ordered my 04 back in 2003, it was late augest. i took delievery in late october... i am sure the 2005 models will start showing up on dealer lots in october...

Thanks for the welcome mberry. I will order mine probably in october or early november, and the sunroof option is a good choice. My wife has a 99 2500 4x4, she wants a new one, just can seem to scrape up enough change for two. I used to drive a superduty 250 but my wife customized it for me in my abscence and I always wanted a Dodge so here I am.
