4 bta motor mounts

Are they the same as the 6bta, in other words, can you un bolt a 6 cylinder and replace it with a 4 cylinder and have the engine in the same position for bolt up of transmission?

Yes, I have checked on kits and the Dodge kit works for both the 4bta and 6bta. I am planning on putting on in my Land Cruiser.

I'm assumeing your talking about the (Dodge) mounts that attach to the engine? If so, they will bolt up but to a 4B but you won't be able to mount the starter motor. When Cummins took out 2 cylinders to make the 4B, they took them form the rear, that moved the center mounting holes into the same area that the starter motor sits.

You have to use the front mount pad, make custom mounts, depending on the isolators you plan on using.

If your looking at mounts/isolators for the 4Bt than use the P-30 gel isolators,they will take out the vibs that all the rubbers isolators have.
