I purchased a 4" turndown to put on my 2000 Cummins from Geno's and I went to a local muffler shop to have about 4" cut off of my stock tailpipe so the turndown would not stick out to far and the guy at the muffler shop said that you don't want to put a turndown on a Cummins because it won't allow the exhaust system to receive air and will make the truck not run right. Has antbody ever heard of this or is the guy full of Elcrapo.

That guy is full of **%t, I bet you any money his eyes were brown from being so full of it. :-laf . Hes probably jealous of Cummins thats all. NO it will not hurt it at all.

so that explains it,,,,,,with my 6 inch turn down tip when i mash the go peddle the truck darts to the left. he is correct then by saying it wont run "RIGHT" :D

must have something to do with all the pressure hitting the ground on the right rear that forces the truck to the left:rolleyes:

i bet he also told you that ford owns cummins !!!

seriously though,,,i have read that a certain angle on the exhaust tip will help "pull" the exhaust out of the system while going down the road. it wasn't enough to get excited about though.
