Keith,

Not to be dissagreable, but my opinion is that you are completely wasting your money to get a four inch system unless you're running over 350 H. P. at the rear wheels. The turbo housing is the smallest point in the exhaust, 9 square cm I think, and everything past that (at three inches) is larger.

Some guys like the sound, some claim better mileage, some claim lower EGTs, but dyno runs have shown that they are VERY small changes and not worth the money.

FWIW.

Randy

the turbo will spool up quicker and it will lower EGT's, and it won't cost any more than replacing your resonator and muffler and having them welded in.

I have a 4 in. MBRP bought from Piers about 2 years s. s. 304. 1000. 00 cdn. nice unit however has loud drown above 2000 rpms.

I had Rips 4" with the Diamond Eye muffler liked it alot sounded good. Then I put on 5" stacks with a diverter valve so I can still run at ground level when pulling my 5er. I had the dreaded drone so I bought a Aero-turbine on ebay at a good price, it has a resonater in it and it sounds just like what I wanted. Mellow but will be heard when you get on it hard, love it. Rips system was only $400 to my front door, and easy to install and I called him on a Saturday for some info, very good service. :D

I bought a 4" turbo-back mandrel bent system off of eBay for $277. It is aluminized steel and I am very happy with it the first thing I noticed was the increased throttle response. A little louder than stock but not much, you only really notice it if there is something for the sound to bounce off of (i. e. , buildings, guard rails, etc. )
