I just finished putting Rip Rooks 4" exhaust on my truck. The truck is a 1997 2500, Club cab, long bed, 4x4. Upon fitting the tail pipe, I found where it exits is about 12" in front of the factory tailpipe hanger. Is this considered normal for Rip's systems? Has anybody else run into this? If so, how did you go about fixing it? Is there a special hanger I'm missing?

My second problem is I was going to take the starter off to replace the contacts and found there as an odd 12 point bolt

holding it in place? What kind of socket do I need? What size? and

any ideas where to find one?

Thanks,

Garry

If I remember right, it is a 10 mm bolt. Need a 12pt socket or wrench to remove. The bolts are on very tight. Most tool sets have 6 and/or 12pt. sockets. You would most likely have what you need.

Can't comment on exhaust.
