3" downpipe then 4" Diamond Eye straight pipe to tail. Next time find complete 4" system.

Quick ans simple, well I don't think that quite gets it on exhaust systems. I have the Hog Performance 4" stainless steel system, yes it is a work of art and yes I think they offer the best value in the exhaust business. No I would not like to install any 4" or 5" system with out some very special modifications.



1. Add a Aero muffler or similar type piece in-line with the system muffler. This worked for me in ridding the dreaded drone



2. Insulate and fire wrap the down pipe, this cuts way down on under hood temps and Drone.



3. Install heat/sound Shields above each muffler. Stops the heat from reaching the floor boards and deadens the sound.



4. Insulate the cab, on the floor, in the doors, back cab wall, on the rear sides and as far up the firewall as possible.



All of this PLUS a well designed exhaust system will net you one comfortable truck. Anything less and I leave mine stock.

The rest of the Magnaflow system is now in the attic over the garage. SNOKING

JRE or Rip?????

I am in the market for my first. I'm not sure whitch gen. I have, its a 2003 2500 w/H. O. I don't really do much towing yet, I wan't a nice sound outside, and no increase of sound inside. I'm not sure what drone is, but I'm pretty sure I wont like it From what I have read here, its between JRE, and Rip. I could spend a lot, but it doesn't sound like the expensive ones are the best ones. I would really like stainless, since my wife probably wont give me this kind of fredom again.

I just installed a SS MBRP system & wound up having to buy a resonator (should be here today) because of a drone problem.

I strongly reccomend RIP, he knows what works on these things.
