I just have to tell you about this, I was most impressed. I ordered, received, installed and simply marvelled at my new 4" stainless steel exhaust system ordered from Diesel Performance Parts. From start to finish took me about 40 minutes to install. Everything (all hangers already welded on) was where it exactly was supposed to be. Slipped in bolted up and walked away... . done! And I did it while laying on the ground with no special tools. No jacks or lifts.

Exactly as advertised, a rare thing these days. Has an impressive deep mellow tone, no cat and a cool flow thru muffler. And the turbo even seems to feel better. Sounds better too. Many Kudos to Mark Craig at DPP for his help when ordering also.

Great product exactly as advertised... ...

:D

I love my 4" stainless DPP/MBRP exhaust as well...

I walked by their booth at Thunder In Muncie '04 and slapped it on in the fairground's show-n-shine area... not even 5 minutes after I bought it. It went on smooth as glass - I'm very impressed with the quality of these systems...

I liked mine so much that I installed a 4" stainless dual exhaust system on "Jengle's" truck later that night...

I have the DPP 4" as well... ... music to the ears.

Anyone had theirs welded up at the seams? I have thought about it, but see no real benefit... ... ... .

I had mine welded up at the seams... The only benefit is that it does not rattle loose. plus it's just a cleaner install. I didn't have to pay to get it welded up. I had a friend do it for me. . But I LOVE my 4" exhuast.

Mark,

Yup, a good deal all around. I see several people asking about welding the seams. How about using 4" band clamps like the 18 wheelers do? Better than the pinch type clamp I think... Anyone out there use the band clamp style?

I just did a 4inch on the boss's truck today. I used the band clamps, they're made out of T-304, and made the install look sweet. Should be a whole lot easier to disassemble if need be. Todd

I agree... . after helping Matt put his system on... . Good stuff!

Mark,

I found 4" stainless band clamps from a local Mack Truck dealer for $3. 80 each plus tax. They're T-304 stainless.

Made by "PowerProducts" Part No. FBC400.

They also have them in aluminized steel for a little less.

The Mack Guy gave me this info for you:

They are marketed by:

PDC (Parts Distribution Company)

4050 Corporate Dr. , Suite 400

Grapevine, TX 76051

Hope that helps... ..... :D
