I'm getting rid of my stacks and going back to a "regular" exhaust. I had a 4" exhaust on the truck before, and I kept the old pipes to re-use, but I might want to go new again. The website I used originally no longer lists exhaust for first gens, neither does Scheids. Where can I get a 4" exhaust if I don't want to re-use my old stuff?

P. S. Before anyone asks, I already promised the stack setup to a friend of a friend who's new to the first gen truck scene.

I got one from Jeremy @ Texas Diesel Shop. I had to tweak it a little on my manual trans but they were great about sending me some angle pieces to weld in and customize it. It is a little loud for this old guy to drive all day but he did offer a different muffler after the fact. I just have not ordered it yet. The best one I had was from Banks way back, only 3 1/2" but fit like a glove and fairly quiet. They were pricey and not now available.

I got mine from Janetty. He simply bought the parts from someplace and had it shipped there next day. Based on that I'm thinking you could get one darned near anywhere. I used the muffler, which is an Allied< but there was also a piece of straight pipe in the kit.

Jay if you notice he has one of those dreaded W models trucks. That limits where he can find an exhaust system at.

You guys with those D models have it easy on that account with all that straight pipe. :-laf

Garbe,

Thanks, but I already checked Scheid, and unless I'm missing something they don't list a kit for first gen trucks anymore. I guess I'm going to try and use the old pipes, the only kit for 1st gen's on "Stan's Headers" was $500. 00.
