4" exhaust

I had Rip Rook install his 4" exhaust system on March 28th. All I can say is WOW!!! He did a great job on the install. All of the factory hanger locations were reused and all of the joints welded solid. He even painted all of the welds. The db meter says the truck is louder but to my ear I don't agree. I think that the lower tone from the exhaust is easier on my ears. I can have the window down and talk to someone outside without yelling. The 5" stainless tip looks huge. Oo.

I have the same kit. I think I'm gonna have it all welded except the down pipe.



I like the sound too. Installed it myself and I can't complain. pretty easy.

Did you guys go with straight pipe or the muffler version?

In my case I went with the Allied heavy duty truck muffler

I went with the muffler. . Sounds great, deep tone, a little louder.

I went with the Allied + a small glass pack in front of it. It's still louder than stock according to the db meter but I think it sounds great The reason I went with the glass pack was to reduce resonance. I have no resonance!
