Put my new dpp (diesel performance parts) 4" stainless steel exhaust in last night and it sounds great!! :D The new exhaust went in with no problem and all the hangers were in the right location. I am seeing a reduction in egt of 200 deg with the new exhaust installed.

dpp makes an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone looking to replace their stock exhaust system.

Installed DPP's 4" aluminized system a few weeks ago. I have to

agree with the fact that it is very easy to install. The Big Brown Truck had dropped the system off while I was at work, and just opening the box to check on the condition of everything was not enough... It Had To Be Installed ASAP! I was going to try to save the factory system but quickly realized that the sawsall was the way to go. Made two cuts, removed flange bolts at the PAC Brake, and used a large screwdriver to slip the rubber mounts off the hangers. (after a bit of spray lube was applied) This was done in my driveway and by this time it was just about completely dark. I did not want to drive the wife's car to work the next day so it had to be completed in the dark. Time required for install, 47 minutes from the time the factory system came out. System could not have been any easier to install. Rechecked the clamps a few days later and found no leaks, no loose clamps. Love the turbo whine, but have not found the dreaded in-cab noise others have found with other brands. Mark, you (DPP) get a thumbs-up for this one. Packing was first rate, no dents, or bent tubing! A friend who drives one of GM's older diesel's say's it sounds like a semi, told him... that's just what I was looking for.
