They have 4" systems, or you can buy the pieces you want. Cheap prices; have heard a few good things, nothing just terrible. I have also dealt with Rip at Source Automotive; his service is second to none.
ANother option I am going to do when I get the cash, is take 2-45s, a 90, and cut them to the lengths needed to go up and over the axle. I can get the 3 pieces for under $60 from the local Freightliner dealer. I have access to a hacksaw and welder... . Farmer who was rpelacing the exhaust on his 318 Detroit let me have the muffler and about 3' of flex pipe; got it on. I made a 90deg elbow on the bottom half of the downpipe. Spoolup is greatly improved- went from a good 1 second lag to none at all, no other adjustments. didnt do much one way or another for my EGT, but it cools down faster than with the stock system. No matter what you go with, I'd recommend the upgrade.
Watch the redneck cr@p, boy. Them's fighting words, And besides, it does its job fr the most part, except the muffler; not sure of it or my lack of a tailpipe.
Oh, so now you're advocating doing it my way? Some people... ... But he is right, entire system will be under $100, from the 90 at the DP back out the tailpipe. Leaves half the cost of something else, say a PDR HX35 or 3 EDMs, intercooler?
Call up Rip about that 4" downpipe. I talked to him while i was on leave but he didn't have any right then. It's a good thing too because i probably would've gotten the exhaust done. There are a couple people on here that have the 4" downpipe too.
I called Rip and ordered me a system Friday, I didn't know then that he might have a 4" downpipe. He told me that it would come with 3". I may fiddle around with my old DP and try to make my own.
nascar mark said they sell them at PDR. Pricey, but I'd imagine a well made piece. Careful making your own DP- it is a TIGHT fit in there. Mine still isnt right, but it is livable.
