Your Springs are set Too Tight. A really nice Guy named Pier's showed me the best way to adjust the springs. Take the AFC housing off and then the Plate out turn the spring up back the Nut off until loose (Don't take the nut off) then take it down until it just touches (no slack in the spring) then TWO more clicks then turn the other spring up and set it the same way. THIS IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO INSTALL THE SPRINGS. If you drop anything your in trouble.

The master also schooled my on installing springs. . My class was held at the Ag center in Tulare one October about 8 pm. It was done with flash lights and a lot of help from BPine and Harry... Piers showed me how on the first spring and once the motor was rolled over. . he handed me the tools and said its yours you do the other one. .

Yes... right down thru the throat of the pump... .

I always adjust the springs through the plug on the side, seems much easier to me and there's less stuff to take apart... no need to take off the intake horn, fuel line, AFC housing, torque plate. Only the fuel shutoff selenoid comes off to go through the plug on the side... ... but to each their own.

ok guys I got up this morning before I had to work and take the plate out and adjusted the springs to be the same which was . 048 that fixed it idled perfect just like stock great throttle response but after a 20 minute drive it was right back stalling again when in gear when in park or netrual fine but idle at about 650 was in drive or reverse instant truck dies what could be problem please help headed tous 131 tonight to test and tune with the guys from HTS again and want to see what the gov kit does for my et time.

could the springs nut slide back off or no last night I put them on and when I checked them this morning the one wasn't were I tightened it up to it was less it was . 024 instead or the . 035 I set it at I just wandered if it could be moving on me I'll no in a few minutes I take it apart the afc that is and re check the measurment other then that I hope its just a idle bump that I need and nothing else thank guys any other suggestions bring on.

You might have had it set right on one of the grooves and it backed off a click. No big deal, just reset, bump that idle, and all should be well.

must have it had back down from. 048 this morning to . 036 I reset it and made sure it clicked went to clicks and it is now at . 064 so I set the other to match it shouldn't move now thanks guys.

Ditto!

What Piers told me: "Don't measure the springs, we never do. Set them to 2 clicks!"

"2 clicks" was repeated a few times during the conversation. Worked like a charm, don't measure, set to 2 clicks.

no we ran I hoped to have dropped my time more put TST only sent me a 3gsk they are sending me the two tiny spring but 3gsk work good but bogged allittle when torque locker engaged my convertor but it did help some I dropped from 15. 48 to 15. 31 now hopfully when I put the other springs in I can get to the 14's if not I'll have to get my dv's and injectors sooner then I thought but I can't complain to much when I started dragging I was only running 15. 9 then torque loc took me to 15. 48 and now so it all helps thanks guys for information and help
