I got the system this afternoon. It's installed on the truck and initial impressions are :D :) :D :)

When I took the truck for a ride after the install, I was initially impressed by the sound. Way cool. But what I really liked was hitting 30 on the boost. It was a peak hit, where my previous high was 27 on this road. I saw a peak hit of 28 once on a steep grade in Virginia. I don't know what that's worth HP wise. As far as seat of the pants, I didn't really notice a difference. I want to run it for a few day under normal conditions and see how it feels. It was nice to see that boost gauge maxed.

That’s interesting getting an extra 3 psi of boost by decreasing the exhaust restriction. Curious - Did you notice any decrease in EGT's? You didn’t say what kind of exhaust. Muffler? Isn’t it satisfying to add another checkmark to the done list? Now that you have that out of the way, what’s next?

4" Exhaust is a must have, not only for what it does as far as lower EGT's and quicker boost but the SOUND is worth the price alone.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised myself to see the increase in boost after reading the posts on the board. I didn't buy the exhaust with a bit of HP increase in mind. It was basically the last mod I had on the checklist. I most likely won't do any more BOMB's until I'm out of warranty, and that's only 21K miles away. By the way, the EGT was 800 when I eased off the throttle at 75 mph. I'm really curious to see what I hit with the 5er hooked up, pulling a big grade. It's a Jardine exhaust system with a Magnaflow muffler.

John -

Wow, the last thing on your check list. I’ve never heard such a thing before! :D You must live in the same state I do. ;) Have fun!

That's the "in warranty" checklist. :p:D I am thinking about an edge Comp and DD2's. Fuel line connections, maybe a Transfer Flow. I definitely want to check out the brake package from EGR(?)

Oh, did I mention Hadleys. The power mods will definitely be after I'm out of warranty. At the rate I drive the truck that should be sometime next summer.
