I have had this ongoing thing with the # 4 injector line clamp, it gets loose and rattles AND DRIVES ME NUTS!!!!!!!#@$%! I tighten it at every oil change and MOST TIMES when ever I have the hood up and have a wrench near by. It has gotten to the point that it becomes loose more often. If I replace the clamp will it stay tight LONGER because this didn't happen for the first 60K or haven't really looked at it but would a drop of thread lock NOT BE A GOOD IDEA or would it make any difference?

Thanks

BIG

BIG, when you replace the one you have keep it as a spare. Normally if a line cracks it's the #4.

If you decide you don't want to keep it as a spare shoot me a PM, I'll pay shipping and put it in my dads truck (I already have a spare in my 05).

99% of the time it seems to be #4, the other 1% is #1. I cannot recall ever hearing about an issue with any others.

I check mine often, and my dad's 06 when I see the truck. I have yet to find them loose, but still check. I have 90K on mine and 110K on dads.

Went to get some lumber with the gooseneck today and haven't ran the truck for like 4 weeks, fired off and it had a tick pulled it outside the shop and went in the house to let it warm came out and TICK TICK TICK got the wrench that's in the glove box and put a twist to it and it stopped wasn't that long ago I change oil and tightened it then also, no leaks or sign of leaks. YET!!!!!!

So I got my new #4 from Genos... . I guess I just take the old one off and put the new one on and torque the bracket bolt to 18ft lbs and the fuel line nuts to 27ft lbs. Prime the system or is that automatically done?
thanks

215k on mine and never had a problem. Only time mine has been apart was when I put the Wilson Manifold on, and that dropped egt about 100*

Earlier HPCR Rams do not have a bracket on #6 going to the engine lift bracket bolt, and that line can crack near the head, in its bend.

Just bought a #4 line from Geno's to keep as a spare. Looking at 129k miles and an upcoming trip to Arizona I think I will put the new one on and keep the old one as a spare.

Along with that new fuel line, if you haven't yet, get a spare fuel/transfer pump and keep it in the box also. Told my son numerous time to get the fuel lines and a spare pump, keep on hand, his went out Sunday night while on a drive with his family on the highway. Also enough tools to do the job. His is a 04. 5.

Had #5 fall at 75,000. Replaced and now have #4 and #5 from Geno's and will carry in the truck. Have also read that #1 and #6 can fail. Crap. Replace them all? Are all upgraded or just #4?

And when installed, do they need to be set to a specific torque number?

Replaced my #4 injector line with a new one from Genos. Also replaced the belt tensioner. Both preventive maint.

And....replaced the front driveline yoke and seal. 3rd time it has leaked in 133k miles. What causes this???
