I guess you could say I took my first bombing step this past weekend. My 4" Jardine exhaust from Pinnacle Performance Products came on Friday. I thought this would be a fairly simple process to change out an exhaust system. WRONG! Word of advice to anyone wanting to do this on their own: GET A TOOL THAT WILL CUT YOUR STOCK EXHAUST EASILY!!! I ended up having to cut my stock pipes in three different places to get it out. The only tool I had was a hack saw. 8 hours later I finally was able to get the stock system out. The new exhaust system install was much smoother. No problems at all from the turbo output all the way back to the Magnaflow muffler provided. I had some trouble with the last piece that attached to the muffler exhaust that went over the rear axle. The mounting brackets provided utilized the stock hangers. Instructions could have been a little better. The price was great though (beat everyone else I could find by $100). See their ad in TDR issue #41 and ask for the special TDR member pricing.

I just made one cut on short pipe between resonator and muffler. I took crossmember out and easily remove out original in two section. Take me less then 2 hour. I just want to have choice, to install original back, if needed. Replace piece of straight pipe will be very easy. But so far I like my Pinnacle 4" with resonator better then original and will never switch back.

M:cool:

Give us your impressions of that system after a few days running - I saw it at May Madness last year, and it looked great, especially for the price!

lol time to buy a sawzall!!!! saved my butt a few times. me and a friend of mine put on my turbo and 4" magniflow exhaust in about 2 hours. ! helps to have the right tools

I had this exhaust straight piped on my 95 and loved it so much that I wanted it put in my 02 when new. I wasn't sure if it would fit going from a 95 2wd to a 02 4wd but with some tweaking it did. I did add a muffler on my 02 and it still sounds and works great. It was also the lowest price exhaust when I bought it years ago and had no problems installing it.
