juicedcummins,
You say-The hangers you describe are different than the ones in my kit and the kits that I have seen. There is a picture of what you describe on another site. This hangers system would be alright. Mine is a POS.
Can't say one way or the other about yours, I can say all of ours have been as I described since the first Dodge dualss were built in 2003, why yours are different I have no idea.
You say - My original post was not hangers suck, It was tailpipe hangers suck. Misread again? When tailpipe hangers come in a kit they are a unit not just the metal rod on the pipe.
All the hangers (that are welded to the pipes) in the complete system are made from the same material, so does it really matter if it's a tail pipe or not. I already told you why I posted about the materials and such and not the frame mounted parts, as I had had that comment from another member here and suspected it was you. I don't think Websters specifies exactly what a hanger consists of but in the exhaust manufacturing world is the "part" that mounts/attaches the pipe to the rubber isolator that is attached to the vehicles body/frame.
You said - Now not all mufflers are the same? That is the opposite of your last stament.
Now now go back and read that , I think you might have MISREAD!! I said - No not all mufflers are the same, but this is the SAME muffler design that MBRP has been using since day one of their product. Anyone that can read knows exactly what I meant. Its says that ALL of MBRP's mufflers have been the same since day one, and that not all mufflers in the world are the same. Of course you knew that and were just looking for a way to pick at something.
You said - Did not mention road speed, you then assumed the prob was the consumer yet again.
No you didn't mention road speed but I am trying to help members of TDR here and that was a suggestion of information that we have seen before when folks have had issues. If you run 70-75 then it wouldn't apply to you then would it.
You said - Dieselpower, page206 just 1 quick example of the Mbrp muffler used in an illustration.
Well I don't have any issues of Diesel Power that go to page 206 so far??? I do have issue January 2006 that goes to page 178. In that issue on page 106 there is a picture of a RBP exhaust that has a perforated muffler. Could it be that you could have possibly MISREAD the page number?? Or is it possible that you MISREAD that the muffler that is pictured on page 106 not page 206 is an RBP muffler and not an MBRP??? In that picture is a perforated core muffler, all of MBRP's (not RPB so don't MISREAD) are a spiral louvered core.
You said - I said my pipes were different lengths not missalighned. Passing the buck to the consumer or Misread you choice.
Hummm tried to explain to you that we have had folks NOT seat pipes together completely and it can cause a different lenth of the tail pipes in a dual system as compared to the leading edge of the rear bumper. Yes your tails will be different length, one tail starts on the passenger side and exits there, the other has to cross the width of the truck, over the driveshaft, around the spring and then exit with numerous bends in it. If you rotate the bends correctly at the joints the length overall as compared to the leading edge of the rear bumper will be within a 1/4er to 1/2 of an inch. If your's had to be cut it's most likely you didn't take the time or MISREAD how to do the install. Each pipe goes in a jig (yes even the straight ones). It's a fit or no fit deal, works or not, not much room for error. But of course MBRP (NOT RPB, don't want you to MISREAD) has humans doing this and humans have been known to make mistakes and MISREAD things on occassion, haven't they.
Just pointing things out, to make sure you haven't MISREAD anything. Have a good weekend I'm off to the races myself!!!!!
