Can anyone reccomend a 4 or 5 inch exhaust kit for a 600 motor that is from the turbo back (no converter) for a longbed ext cab 4x4? that dosent require any special modifications ?? - thanks J neighbors

hey, ya i sell/ install mbrp, you never want to put a 5 inch system on 04, the drown will drive you out of your mind. (drown: a very annoying hum and vibration in the cab) A 4 inch with a reverse cat pipe is the only way to stop a drown in a 04 like yours. Contact Heath at hotroddiesel. ca he will set you up with a awsome dual ss system for a unbeatable price.

Ahem that's Droan Drown is when something alive that requires air to breathe suddenly finds itself under water or even beer and soon finds it's not so alive anymore . :-laf :-laf

Sorry i juust Hadda ... ... Just HAADDA do it :-laf

I have heard the same thing in muncie about 5" droans on the 04's and drivers wanting to bail out of the truck on the highway it's so annoying.

My suggestion would be to either straight pipe everything or just put a free-flow muffler on, such as a Walker, and finish it off with a ss tip.

This would save money since you already have 4" piping all the way back.

No drown, droan or even drone :)

On my last trip up to my place in Oregon, I decided to swing by Rip's shop and see what he could do. Since I already removed (relocated to the garage floor) the cat, he was able to put a resonator where the cat was, and a 34" Nelson, and the obligatory MagnaFlow stainless tip. All I can say is perfect! It sounds almost stock at idle, but hit 2000 RPM and it gets the growl my '99 did with his DiamondEye system. The trick is, for me at least, when the wife is riding with me, keep it below 2K RPM, she'll never know anything is different, and LET IT RIP running solo.

BTW, and your experiences may differ, no express or implied warranty, batteries not included, and some settling may have occurred during shipment, BUT I ALSO PICKED UP AT LEAST 2 MPG! Still waiting to hand calculate, but my overhead now consistenly reads over 20MPG, and is generally pretty close to my hand calc numbers. Better sound and better economy in one package, who could ask for more?? Oo.
