98 3500 ,edge drag box, gauges . soon to be injectors . i personally like the montrous sizing of the 5 inch exhaust , the question is my application for 5 inch exhaust does it hinder performance or offer me a bad combination ,or just appeasing to my my taste? i dont want he 5inch if the 4 inch is the better choice for performance . can anybody help here?

theoreticly, the 4" would be better at your power levels, but I bet you wouldn't be able to feel a difference... go big or go home! :p (get the 5" that you really want)

I'd go 4", cause it's big enough and it starts to get a little tight, I have an NV4500 transmission with fast coolers installed, and I can tell you with the 4" pipe it's a pain to service the x-mission, in the end I may take the one fast cooler off , ray
