I want a damn 4BT

Hello TDR, long time no see. I was married on new Years Eve( :-laf :-laf ) and we took a ten day cruise in the Southern Caribbean on the ms Maasdam, a Holland America cruise ship. The boat was just under 800 feet long and had 5 diesel engines. They put out 46,000 hp to power the generators and 17,000 of those hp were required to propel the ship. On the first day we had one diesel go down. This made the stabilizers create too much drag and so the capt. chose not to use them. This made for a rough voyage at just under 4,000 miles in mostly the Atlantic Ocean. Don't get me wrong it was nice to be in Aruba this time of year, but it is great to be back and on the boards nightly.

Congrats. My new brother in law told me that "marriage is a great institution... ... ... that is if you like living in an institution. " :{ :-laf

well all I have to say about being married for over two weeks is I how no more truck, no more cars, literally out of transportation, and I have a new cat to live with.

Just kidding, I would do everything again ten fold

Dave

PS she has a pretty good job, so the next truck may get more bombs that I could do before(I really want to do injectors and Edge products).

Congratulations! I've been married now for 493 days. Its been fun so far. You just need to convince her that having a diesel truck will save you money in the long run. ;) My wife wrote the check for my 93. :D

CONGRATES------Just celebrated our 10 year last Aug and are heading out on sat Jan 20 on Royal Caribbean eastern cruise for 7 days and then 4 days after to spend some time at the attractions in Florida Oo. . I'm not really into fancy travel but it is for the Mrs and well i have to bite my tongue and enjoy my self with the wonderful lady that has put up with my tinkering/wrenching days for nighs on end working on my ride---rather spend money on my ride then a vacation. My idea of a vacation is sitting out at the lake in my boat for 2 weeks fishing but the Mrs has other ideas sometimes too. She is very understanding when it comes to my truck and supports me 110% all the time---when you find a good woman you can never imagine life without her. Goodluck and have fun ---kids. DW

Dave,

Congratulations on your new marriage!

That said, what a bunch of rookies! I’m at 18,700 days (that is more than 51 years) and counting on many, many more. Solomon got it right when he wrote in Proverbs, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing. ” Of course, if you aren’t careful when you choose a wife it isn’t that way. I’ve done more than my share of poking fun at my wife (fortunate for me she has a great sense of humor), but all joking aside, other than my relationship with God she’s the best thing that ever happened to me!

DWeiler, don't worry too much about biting your tonge. the cruise i went on was a great time. The food was GREAT and the two of us had a perfect honey moon. My only advice is watch your bar bill, for me it had a way of creepininto the expensive side. I too am looking forward to being married for a long, long time.

The problem with mine is every time i get/want a new toy i have to budget for 2 of them :D . It started with his and her identical quads(she can handle hers better than me),and now after having my Cummins she eying one as her next vehicle one day. Regards---- David---hope to hang onto my wallet a little longer.
