Ok guys, I just ordered the parts for a 4" TURBO BACK exhaust to replace my current 3" system.

This new 4" exhaust will be Y'd just like my current exhaust, and will dump in front of both the back tires out of 5" rolled end tips... WOOHOO!!!! :D

Also, my 450hp Don M EDM's shipped last friday, so those'll be goin' in this weekend too.

Now, I also plan on getting a clutch in, either a Con O or an OFE... not sure which yet, gotta see how much dinero I'll have left over. The clutch might have to wait for the following weekend.

Just thought I'd let you know that I'm well on my way to the top of the first gen power race... WITHOUT CHEATING (ahem... MARK :D :-laf just kiddin' man!).

Wish me luck!

Oh, and sorry for not being around so much, life's been a mess lately (forced to drop out of college on account of medical reasons, got kicked out of my house... etc. )

So check you guys on the flip side...

Oh, and make sure and keep and eye out for a post on the clutch install, I've never done it before and may need some tips... I'm hoping Peter supplies installation instructions.

So then what? Maybe a detroit in the rear axle? Not sure yet... but I gotta get this pig outta one wheel drive! :D :-laf

Chris,

Good to hear you aint dead yet :D

At your miles and years, I'd STRONGLY suggest a new rear main seal since you'll be right there anyway, when you get to the clutch. IF you dotn get instructions, I can make copies and send them to you. I have both the Chilton and FSM. I'll need your new address. Or did the H2O pump go to your new address? I wanna know how the hybird turbo handles the injectors, as we all will.

Bob Wagner-

They are some top secret, test mule, custom deal- not sure how much I'm supposed to know, so I'll err on the side of caution and not say anything. I think he'll hit 500hp this year if he dont break anything in the process.

Mad Bomber-

You mean with all you guys, and the ability to sit upright under his 4x4 you need a transmission jack? Cant 3 of you just lift it up and in? :D If I can get the Getrag in my 2wd with a floor jack, a ratchet strap, and a little elbow grease... ... ... .

Yep it just makes life easier and since I have one just sitting in my garage. I'd just bing it if needed.

Mad Bomber-

Since you put it so eloquently, I guess that works. No need to strain yerself if ya dont hafta. Never used a transmission jack, though I have used the dollies for semi truck dually tire/ wheel/ hub assemblies

Yep, I'll be at Hoss's. I don't know if I'll be able to wait that long though!

The pump went to my old mailing address, but I'm still using it until I can get a PO Box for the new house...

Rear main seal? Will that be easily replaced? $$$? Please elaborate! :D

Thanks everyone, and thanks Mike! Glad to see that DDP is letting you out on occasion! :-laf

rear main seal

Easier than a front main seal, costs about the same. Think mine was around $40. It's a BIG thing, too- about 5-6" across. Just drill your holes and screw in the sheet metal screws, and pull it out with a 10" Vice Grip on the head of the screw. Drive back in with hammer and GENTLE tapping. My seal came with a depth set dealie that went over the seal and when I got the dealie in that depth, it was just right. Ok, it's been a long day, and I'm tired, in case you couldnt tell by my gibberish. I'll edit this in thr morning.

On the clutch, when I put my Rally in; the original pressure plate bolts were too long. We had some in the bolt bins at school, so they shouldn't be too hard to find.

WELLL how did the 4" turn out? Done yet??:D Got any part numbers, pics???;) I am very interested in 4" mandrel bend dual exhaust turbo to tail pipe to replace my 3". Got them injectors yet? Sound like something the 90 needs for more ummphh off road after the orings and later model head, of course.

Michael

Ahhhhh don't rain on his parade... . ;):D... . who know's how things will turn out... .

BTW... who will your prediction be for high HP on a 1st Gen this year. . ???

pb. .

Ok, that's it, if Chris is going after big power, I guess I better get a torque converter and pry that silly lock collar off my power screw.

Lock Collar on the power screw???

It must be located under that little sheet metal, cone shaped, looking thinggy covering my power screw. :D

I can't join the HP race... the wife says so:{

She did ask about the recent gauges that have appeared atop my dash panel... ... ... .....

Told her it's fuel economy/emission aids:-laf

The turbo WAS worn out, so I needed a replacement  Oh, and the muffler rusted off;) soooo,

I had to fab in a piece of pipe to "Save Money" on the repair:-laf :-laf ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

OH YAH, and the original down pipe... ... ... ... ... it wouldn't fit the new turbo :D

..... Please tell me she isn't reading this!.....

Greenleaf:

My girl would not fall for that kind of stuff at all, but then again being a helicopter mechanic and into power she would not mind them either :D

Just make sure you atleast seem like you care more about her than your truck, even though the truck is easier to figure out and fix :)

Nothing yet guys... the injectors are going in tonight, but the exhaust and clutch will have to wait...

I got most of the parts except for a few elbows I needed... but the locals are trying to charge me $40 a piece so I'm trying to find some elsewhere... hopefully Rip will get back to me soon.

I recieved an injector puller in the mail today (a loaner) so that will make life easier.

And who says I can't make it past 500??? I'm getting kinda tired of people poo-poo'ing me all the time...

I guess time will tell... and don't forget, I'm not alone. I have some pretty strong resources.

Bob, how much does piers charge for an h2e? I think I'll be callin' ya tuesday if you're around. :D

I'll be back on tomorrow to tell you how the injector install went... but first I'm going to have to figure out where in the heck all these little pieces go that came with the injectors... :D :-laf

Thanks for the support guys.
