Hello everyone. I'm new to the Roundtable but I've been watching for a while. I have a question about 4" Stainless magnaflow exhausts. I've searched a bit but I cannot find anyone that has one. Does anyone out there have one. If so how do you like it? I'm just starting to bomb my truck and this is one of the mods I'm considering (more for looks and sound than power) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can buy a SS magnaflow from the manufacturer.

I believe they charge $800. 00 + for their system. Not worth IMHO.

I've got a Jardine and I'm real happy with it. Jardine uses

Maganflow mufflers.

I know they are a little pricey, but I'll have my truck for at least 300,000 miles and I would only like to replace the exhaust once. I just have a little problem taking off the stock exhaust and replacing it with one of a lesser quality than the stock one. There are a few other companies out there that sell stainless exhaust but the magnaflow seems to be a better exhaust for the money than the other ones. Any other sugestions? Thanks

I have seen the ATS stainless 4" and it is nothing like the pictures of the Magnaflow. The prices are very similar. I would like to see the Magnaflow as well. The cool factor of a polished stainless exhuast is way up there.

I just put on the Magnaflow 4" muffler (used to run straight pipe) and I like it. Nice and quite at idle and some rasp when you get up the rpm range. Will add the rest of the 4" pipe when $$$ allows.

Have turbo back 4" Alum Magnaflow system. Sounds great. Stainless not worth the money. Use the extra bucks for an EZ:p

Re: Anyone ?

I cannot believe that nobody has a 4" Magnaflow SS Exhaust. Can anyone help? I know that the steel version should sound similar, but from past exhausts I've had I know Stainless has a different sound to it. Thanks:confused:

You won't find too many people willing to put out that much money for something that is not needed. Stainless that is. Diesel exhaust is not nearly as corrosive as gasser exhaust. An aluminized steel exhaust will probably outlast your truck. Of course, what do I know, I still have the stock exhaust after 3 years

Jardine comes with a lifetime warranty..... If you really want a larger exhaust Bully Dog makes a 5" one that is nice:D.

Check my signature, have had the Magnaflow cat-back for about a year now and am very pleased. Yes it costs way too much, but there are many other products out there in that category that are also cr*p that you would love to send back—if you could. Comments made about diesel exhaust are accurate—but I went SS for rust from the outside, not the inside!! Other products (from other materials) offering lifetime warranties may also be good. I for one am very wary of the bliss from lifetime warranties and don't generally depend on them - it depends on the companies' reputation. By the time you pay to send it, wait for a response, fight with customer service, maybe even pay to get it returned (fine print) alot of these products are not worth it.
