4" stright exhaust

Hey everyone just put a stright pipie on and :--) wow. had them remove the cat and muffler. its done so i acn put the stock stuff back on in my driveway. down side just a tad of dron.

On the '03, do they have a cat or is it a resenator? If it was a resenator you may want to put it back on. Should get rid of the drone. It should only change the tone but not make quiet like the muff.

Do you have a Ca. model Kory? I only have the single muffler and no resonator or cat.

its a ca model. thats why i made it moduglar so i can adjust it with out welding.

Sorr guys, I put the stuck exhaust back on. Wayyyyyy tooooo loudddd, and lost tons of power and got sh$@y gas mileage.

Way too loud, as in :--) . How would you compare to older straight piped trucks? loudness and actual sound. exactly just what does it sound like to you.

Sraightpipe on 03 HO

I bit the bullet and put a straightpipe on my 03 HO last night. To me it sounds like poo. It sounds like a cross between a ricer and a 6 cyl gasser with the exhaust rusted off. It don't sound a thing like the older versions. I used a piece of 4 in. pipe in place of the muff and installed a 5 in. tip. I'm undiscided about putting the factory crap back on or buying a complete 5 in. setup. Is anyone heard a 5 in. on a 03? If so, what do they sound like?

5 inch on an '03

We had one in here last week with a 5 inch, the customer was wanting to trade us for our 4 inch 304 stainless system. He didn't like the sound or the voulme it produced. We aren't into trading etc but he got one of ours anyway and we helped him put it on and he left with a more of the familiar 24 vavle sound and reduced overall noise levels. The 5 inch sounded kind of hollow and scratchy, probably not the best description but I'm no Hemingway either.

JTeague see my link above about a relatively inexpensive fix that will let you use most of your stock piping but turn it into a 4" system from the downpipe back, using a PSD intermediate pipe. Call Dave Meheen at Diesel Power Produts for more info: 866-379-8685.
