Well it has snowed a few tons and several feet here on the Tug! And my DS Lockout Hub exploded like a gun shot into pieces all over the snow bank and I was of course stuck. The village loader pulled me out and I limped it back to the shop fishtailing all the way. Anyone have one they can spare only option is the Dealer the junkyards have told me they are scarce.

Pete I changed the power steering gear box and it has stopped leaking all over the driveway. :) The nice PSC gear box, looks pretty under there. Cousin Terry did the work so I just asked him about the crack he doesn't remember seeing any. I am going to check that out when I get it back on the rack. Muffler fell off, sounds better time for a stack or two, right?:D

Thanks for the help guys.

Tim, how you gonna keep the dust down now? :-laf Yup, need stacks! They let the neighborhood know when you're plowing. ;)

Just an idea, remember the spacer/ coupler used in the mid 80's trucks with no lockouts? Went in the hub and coupled the shaft to the hub? I wonder if one of those would work? Depends on the splines, of course. Might be a temporary fix. Might also blow the hub all to heck too.

Going off of Billavista's D60 article... Pirate4x4. Com - Extreme Four Wheel Drive

It looks like the drive flanges used on the earlier Dodges are all the external style, but just going off of his info might mislead us. I had a D60 from a '77 W300 that had external drive flanges stock, but Billavista doesn't mention those, so his info may be incomplete.

It looks like most of our 1st-gens should be the internal style, though I don't know that for sure.

4WD Lockouts

Still have not solved my problem. Dealer wanted $289 for the same thing I could have gotten two for $189 at Napa or Federated and it doesn't matter because they are not correct. Here is what I have:

You can see the broken plate and the cap has exploded into pieces, the spring and pieces are all in the snow bank till spring. What is this axle I have? MOPAR or some other brand Dealer is a duh I don't know! I showed them these pics on my iPhone right at the parts counter.

HELP!!!! I got 2WD :{

BDaugherty what part of Georgia are you from? Thanks for the help we are on a roll, nothing in inventory anywhere yet and all stores closed now. But we either have a Dana 50 60 or the other older 1 ton from the 89 and back models. Advanced around here still deals with WARN only. Funny the dealer couldn't tell we had a 1 ton from the pic:-laf

This truck is a Frankenstein I think. :D

You probably have a Dana 60, but it could be a Dana 44HD... I'm not really on the up and up with 1st gen drivetrain. I would just look at the front axle my self. If it has ball joints, it's a 44. If it has kingpins, it's a 60. Or you can get the #'s off the "bill of materials" tag that may still be bolted to the diff cover. If none of this works for you, try this chart:

Once you find out what axle you have, just order a set of the Selectro hubs. Either have a parts store order them or just mail order them yourself. Run the new hubs on the truck and keep your factory one for a spare.

I'm from Carrollton, GA... about 50 miles west of Atlanta.

No Luck at NAPA or Advanced Auto. Dont carry Mile Marker up here. Autozone had the part number but the 449SS not my part. No luck at O'Reillyautoparts either. Tried SUMMIT Racing, guess what, they got lots of them. I had them shipped overnight from OHIO and they aren't here. LOL

Ill let you know how I made out!!

HA!! SORRY!! I had a set on the shelf!!! Came off my '85 350 SRW, CCSB. I replaced them because they have a tendendy to hit things and break off... ... kinda like the pic you posted... . they are tough as hell until that happens. But a standard 6 bolt like a '93 style should have fixed them?! Summit Racing, 4Wheel Parts(if you can find someone who knows what the hell you're talking about), and Dynatrac all carry hubs for this axle. Those are 4500lb Dana 60 axles. I beleive from '74 to '86. Although the '74s were closed nuckled..... Well, glad you got what you needed, sorry didn't see it sooner!!

God bless,
