4 wheel drive not working

I bought my 94 2500 4x4 about 5 months ago and the 4 wheel drive worked fine, one day when I was taking it for a short drive I noticed that it making a strange sound ,it felt as if it stuck between 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive I pulled over at the nearest stop and shifted it in and out of 4 wheel drive and when I got on the road again It was normal again, about a week or so later I had all of my u joints replaced they did a good job for a real reasonable price ,but i noticed as soon as I got home the 4 wheel drive was not working because I could not park it in my usual spot which I put it in 4 wheel drive to get it there when its wet outside what do you guys think?

Check the vacuum lines from the TC to the CAD. You may have one that got knocked loose during the repair. Mike

Wonder if you have a bad or sticking vacuum switch on the transfer case. On my 95 the vacuum switch on the transfer case is bad. Its stuck sending vacuum to engage the CAD. I turned the lines around by the transfer case to keep the CAD disengaged. I bought a kit to replace the vacuum system with a heavy duty cable, just haven't got it on yet. Only cost a little more than the switch was gonna cost and soon I will have 2wd low. Hope this helps, Jordan
