2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 4 wheel drive not working

as the title says, i have have a friend that has a 2002 ram 2500 and he says that his 4wd works sometime and dont others, anything easy to look at?

First check vacuum lines at front axle.

The 02 doesn't have the CAD. Is just not getting the 4X4 light? If so then the problem may be the jumper installed under the RF frame rail. Mike

no it is not going into 4wd only the rear tires spin, he took it to a mechanic but he did not have time to look at it, just dont want him to have to spend big money on parts he dont need.

with it locked in see if the front drive shaft spends. if it does but the front end don't pull it's probly in the front end. the vacum fork front end has problems even if it sit unused for a short time
