Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 4 Wheel Drive Problem

My truck will engage into 4WD Low but i cannot get the shifter to budge towards 4WD High, any ideas?

You haven;t said what you have tried. sometimes shutting it off and putting trans in neutral works for me .

some thing to check

mine had this problem about a month ago. It turned out that on of the bolts that attach the lever to the linkage under the boot had come out and jammed things up. The boot it self just kinda pops out. I ended up removing the whole lever assembly just to get it out. Not to hard maybe an hour or so. That is if your not laying in 2 inches of snow like I was
