4 x 4 front wheel bearings

I have 70,000 on my Ram 3500 4 X 4 and at about 50,000 I had to have the left front wheel bearing assembly replaced. Now I have a strong suspicion that the right one is getting ready to give up the ghost on me. At $500 per bearing assembly you would think Chrysler would put out a more reliable bearing assembly. Has anyone else had a problem with bearings on a 4 X 4?

and I run in 4x4 almost every day - still on the originals... ...
