Competition Info and Updates on Dave Mitchell??

Off Roading Greg Boardman of DRC passes . . . .

i am thinking about getting my truck set up right around 400 rwh - adding Mach 4's and a Phat Shaft 62. I am wondering what kind of quarter mile time i can expect once i hit the track next spring?

I would say mid-14's, also. Depends on if you get traction, or not. My 96 did 15. 2, but with no traction in 2nd or 3rd gear, making for a very slow, (2. 6 sec), 60 ft time. I was too chicken to try a 4wd launch. :D You also have an auto, which will help. My truck was at 396/920, according to the dyno, when I ran it.

I have seen an 00 4x4 QCSB with a set of early diesel dynamics DD4's and a non-wastegated 35 making about 420 (dont look at the pyro honey... . ) run high 13's and Dave Dunbar's truck ran consistent 13's at 450 or so HP

My bro did 15 flat with 370hp according to edge's dyno, (lift and tires) then we threw in some 370's and he made 470 on maddogs dyno and ran a 14. 2 so i would say at 400 mid to lower 14's.

My 99 QC3500 5spd 4:10 gears ran a 14. 7 at 96mph. 425hp/935 tq. you should hit 14 flat easy. Combo was ddII's and an edge comp. stock turbo.

i ran a 14. 5 shifting through all gears with only about 450 hp if that. so i would say low 14's or high 13's

My dually is over 8,000 pounds, and with a PS62 and 90 hp Dynomite diesel injectors it runs 13. 4's between 101 and 102 mph. It's a simple combo that works well. . Tows fine as well. .

Guys look at his post again. 400 rwhp will not get a 13, in a car yeah, but not in his truck. I dunno what you're thinking. Mid, maybe low 14's possibly. He said he wants to get to 400 rwhp, his comp isn't tapped. If it was he'd easily hit 13's, but with the mach4's and a sps62 he'd also be pushing 500 hp, not 400. FWIW I made 360 hp with my fueling box off and 513 with it on. Without the tapped wire power is a lot harder to come by.

With a PS62 and a modest injector, 400 hp would be very easy. Upping it to 500 is just a little programming away. That's the reason I posted my comment. Might as well take advantage of the hard parts. . Low 13's wouldn't be hard to achieve. I thought he was just guesstimating the around 400 figure. .

Mine ran a 14. 9 @ 90mph with a 2. 2 60'. Thats a launch with 3 to 4#'s of boost, anything more and it will be a smoke show.

My truck has ran as fast as 13. 54, and that is with a dynoed 351hp and 660tq on a mustang. Theres a lot of other factors besides horsepower.

i ran a 13. 96 and numerous 14. 3s with my setup, my 13. 9 was with a pretty hard launch and a 1. 89 60ft. i left the line at about 15psi and thats what got my 60 foot below 2. how well you tree and what kind of 60 ft you have. . thats where its all at if you ask me.

That's what's killing me. . My 60's are 2. 0 with the TM on. I only took it off that one time at the strip, and the output snapped. . I've got billet now, though I'm just scared it will break again. .
