DEZLPWR, thanks for the response. However, you didn't say why you needed it.



Did they change the connector on the lift pump and we need this other part to adapt it to the style of connector we have??



Sorry for the additional questions, but I'm curious.
 
Lift Pump wiring

IronTrader - According to another thread on this subject - The pump was changed from one having pig tail wiring to one with an integrated plug-in and the harnesses on some trucks are a little short of reaching so they have an adapter which lengthens the harness.

Les, you do not need it for your 2001. 5.



I still can figure out why a 98. 5 or 99 would need the extention harness. Every one I've worked on had plenty of length.
 
It's not needed for model year 2000 and newer.



The 4025182 pigtail from Cummins is essentially an eleven inch extension cord.
